About The Position

Mercer University is searching for an Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Student Services for the School of Business on the Macon or Atlanta, GA campus. The Assistant Director of Academic Advising and Student Services provides leadership for day-to-day academic advising, student success, onboarding, retention, and student engagement initiatives within the School of Business. Reporting to the Director of Academic Advising and Student Services, the Assistant Director oversees operational implementation of student support services, coordinates advising initiatives, manages student intervention efforts, and collaborates with academic and administrative partners to promote student persistence, progression, and degree completion. The Assistant Director serves as a senior student success professional who supports enrollment growth, transfer student recruitment, onboarding, retention programming, and student engagement efforts. This position works closely with faculty, admissions, enrollment management, career services, corporate partnerships, and student affairs to ensure a seamless student experience from enrollment through graduation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of experience working with university advising, university admissions and/or recruiting, or relevant corporate experience are required.
  • Candidates must have a valid current driver's license as this position requires some travel.
