About The Position

The Assistant Director will serve as a leader within the Office of High School Initiatives and Dual Enrollment, providing strategic vision and direction for dual enrollment, Early College, and dual credit programs. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing these programs in partnership with local high schools and higher education institutions. The Assistant Director will also oversee student academic progress, manage recruitment efforts, and develop strategies to improve student retention and success. Additionally, this position is responsible for marketing and outreach, conducting workshops, analyzing program data, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing reports, and maintaining partnerships with various stakeholders. The role also involves assisting students and staff with the admissions process and the dual enrollment grant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a higher education setting in student services, program coordination or a related role or coordinating early post-secondary opportunities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report preparation and program evaluation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to dual enrollment and secondary/postsecondary education.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work effectively both independently and in groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of experience in dual enrollment programs, college readiness initiatives and/or secondary/postsecondary education systems.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage dual enrollment programs in partnership with local high schools.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Early College programs in partnership with local high schools and higher education institutions.
  • Directly supervise the high school coordinator.
  • Manage the academic progress of Early College students and recommend appropriate academic support opportunities, including tracking data and maintaining notes for each assigned student.
  • Oversee the recruitment of new dual enrollment students, including coordination with school district partners and other College offices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve retention and academic success for both Early College and dual enrollment students.
  • Oversee the department in the absence of the director.
  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies to promote dual enrollment opportunities to students, parents, and high school administrators.
  • Conduct workshops, information sessions, and training for students, parents, and educators to explain the benefits and requirements of dual enrollment programs.
  • Collect and analyze data on program outcomes, student performance, and enrollment trends to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies related to dual enrollment.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including grant applications, progress reports, and evaluation summaries.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local school districts, community organizations, and other stakeholders to expand access to dual enrollment opportunities.
  • Assist students, parents, high school advisors, principals, and staff with the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant.
