About The Position

The Assistant Dining Services Director works in partnership with the Director of Dining Services to guide and direct dining service team members toward client satisfaction with food quality and meal service. The role develops effective working relationships with clients and team members and assists the Director with training and directing the team to provide outstanding dining services.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training at a service manager level.
Associate or bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, culinary arts, or hotel/restaurant management, or completion of a Certified Dietary Manager program, is highly desirable.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt positive and corrective feedback to team members on compliance with standards, meal service, and food quality.
Assist in developing new team members through skills and standards training, coaching, and feedback.
Maintain high performance and behavioral expectations to ensure standards are met.
Conduct regular meetings with guests to ensure satisfaction with dining services.
Purchase food and supplies from authorized vendors to meet cycle menu requirements.
