About The Position
Save-On-Foods is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Centre of Store, at its Austin Save-On-Foods location in Coquitlam, BC. The successful candidate must have open availability and be available to work 40 hours per week. The role supports team leadership and customer-first service, team development and retention, business growth, and inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- Food Safe Certification.
- Passion for great food and outstanding customer service.
- Strong work ethic and a “let’s get it done” attitude.
- Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or customer service experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with leading a team and act as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
- Foster a positive environment focused on Always Customer First service.
- Engage and retain team members through training and development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and identifying and developing future leaders.
- Communicate important messages to the team.
- Use knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
- Take count of the correct amount of stock.
