About The Position

Workforce and Contractor Diversity Compliance is a growing field in the construction industry. Working both in the office and the construction site, the individual will perform collection, analysis, and reporting of documentation to ensure compliance with applicable company and agency regulatory requirements. As an Assistant Compliance Coordinator you will work collaboratively with and support the construction and development teams. Information will be shared across common work sites, updated regularly and training provided.

Responsibilities

Collect and review daily sign-in and sign-out sheets and compare them against weekly certified payroll reports. contractor hiring records, Section 3 documentation, and daily sign-in sheets.
Monitor and review workforce timekeeping and site-access data generated through the company's digital tap-in/tap-out system.
Reconcile digital workforce records against weekly certified payroll reports to identify discrepancies, missing workers, hours, classifications, or other potential compliance concerns.
Review worker classifications, wage rates, hours worked, and fringe benefits for compliance with applicable prevailing-wage requirements.
Assist with payroll and compliance audits by identifying missing documentation, incorrect classifications, wage discrepancies, and other potential compliance concerns.
Conduct jobsite visits and worker interviews to confirm employer information, work performed, trade classifications, and wage rates.
Document findings from payroll reviews, worker interviews, and site visits and report identified concerns to department leadership.
Follow up with contractors and subcontractors regarding outstanding documentation, payroll corrections, reporting deadlines, and other compliance requirements.
Respond to routine certified payroll questions, including inquiries regarding wage-rate calculations and required documentation.
Assist with investigating potential payroll discrepancies, worker misclassifications, underpayments, or other reported compliance concerns.
Support reviews of contractor and subcontractor performance, including Commercially Useful Function evaluations when required.
Assist in monitoring workforce participation, Section 3 requirements, contractor diversity goals, and other project-specific compliance obligations.
Communicate compliance requirements and outstanding items to internal project teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Participate in project and subcontractor meetings as needed to provide updates on documentation requirements, open items, and upcoming deadlines.
Prepare and submit required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual agency reports.
Upload required compliance information into agency software and other project-specific reporting systems.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic files, including certified payroll reports, daily logs, worker interviews, subcontractor forms, correspondence, and agency submissions.
Track open compliance issues and corrective actions through resolution, escalating significant or unresolved matters to department leadership.
Assist with responding to documentation requests from agencies, clients, auditors, and internal project teams.
Maintain confidentiality when handling payroll, employee, contractor, and project information.
Other duties as assigned.
