Washington Mills is seeking a detail-oriented compliance specialist to join their team in Niagara Falls, NY. Washington Mills is a producer of abrasive, ceramic and refractory grains and powders with global distribution and sites located throughout North America and Europe.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field or related curriculum, preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a quality system (ISO9001, Nadcap, NQA-1, or similar)
Detail-oriented mindset to ensure timely filings are maintained and documents remain organized and up to date
Ability to work with minimal direction and oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be a US Citizen willing and able to obtain government security clearance

Responsibilities

Coordinate yearly audit schedule and ensure requirements are met
Maintain all audit records, including relevant notes and reports
Coordinate and complete audits, backshift and quality, communicating the results
Track Corrective Action Requests and Preventative Action Requests (CAR/PARs) to ensure the team appropriately responds to issues
Trend CAR/PAR findings to proactively spot weaknesses and address the problem
Maintain document control system for the government program, including issuing new and revised records to all affected employees
Work with employees to update procedures and documentation
Develop and maintain the document control program for the NFNY business unit
Serve as Facilities Security Officer for the site and communicate updates to the security plan
Submit clearance approval documents for incoming program employees as needed
Provide administration support to the Program Director
