2026-2027 Assistant Girls Basketball Coach
About The Position
The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach assists the Head Coach in coaching and supervising the sport. The coach enforces disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior and fills in for the Head Coach when required. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and that the candidate be at least 21 years old. Required qualifications also include completion of training specified by board policy, a clear criminal records check, and compliance with KHSAA and NFHS guidelines and regulations. The position is evaluated annually by the Head Coach, Athletics Director, or Principal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Complete required training per board policy, including training on students’ physical and emotional development, school discipline policies and procedures for dealing with discipline problems, and safety and first aid training, including CPR/AED certification.
- Clear criminal records check.
- Follow all KHSAA and NFHS guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in all phases of coaching the sport.
- Assist in supervising the sport.
- Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
- Fill in for the Head Coach when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
