Youth Athletes United is seeking coaches for its TGA youth sports programs in Tennis, Golf, and Pickleball. Coaches help children ages 5–13 learn sports fundamentals and life skills in a fun, stress-free environment. The role offers on-the-job training, a flexible schedule, and opportunities to grow professionally. New coaches can work 4–20 hours per week and earn up to $27 per hour. Coaches use individual attention and positive reinforcement to help each child succeed. Lead Coaches use the curriculum to facilitate classes and lead Assistant Coaches. Depending on class size, classes may include 8–40 or more students, with one or more Assistant Coaches assigned to help. Coaches are expected to welcome feedback, follow the TGA Coaching Manual, and attend additional training as appropriate. Classes take place at schools, parks, and recreation centers throughout Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. Coaches may need to travel up to an hour to reach a class location. Most classes are held after school or on weekends. Weekday classes typically start between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.; listed availability windows are Monday–Friday, 2:00–5:00, and weekends, 9:00–1:00. The position requires a background check and a passion for coaching students. Lead Instructors must have prior coaching experience, with experience in Tennis, Golf, or Pickleball preferred, and be able to manage Assistant Coaches and student groups. Full-time work and other career opportunities may be available, subject to availability and performance.
