Youth Athletes United is seeking coaches for its TGA youth sports programs in Tennis, Golf, and Pickleball. Coaches use individual attention, a non-competitive approach, and positive reinforcement to help children ages 5–13 enjoy sports, succeed, and develop life skills. New coaches can work 4–20 hours per week and earn up to $27 per hour. The role includes on-the-job training, a flexible schedule, and incentive programs. Lead Coaches use the curriculum to facilitate classes and lead Assistant Coaches. Depending on class size, they may manage 1–5 Assistant Coaches and groups of 8–40 or more students. Assistant Coaches are assigned to classes larger than 10 students. Coaches are expected to be open to feedback, attend additional trainings, and follow the TGA Coaching Manual. Classes take place at schools, parks, and recreational centers throughout Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. Coaches may need to travel up to an hour to reach a class location. Most classes occur after school or on weekends. Weekday classes typically begin between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.; the listed availability windows are Monday through Friday, 2:00–5:00, and weekends, 9:00–1:00.
