About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Wentworth Club Rowing works with the head coach to provide supervision and effective leadership to the rowing club sport program. Responsibilities include fostering skill development and teamwork among students; promoting and upholding institute policies and procedures; and initiating activities in support of the rowing team. This position collaborates with the head coach to provide skill and developmental support to the team. A member of the coaching staff is required to be at all practices & events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental concepts of rowing, practices and procedures related to, and ability to apply in varied situations.
  • Use instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to trailer boats to events.
  • Level I US Rowing Certification.
  • Boating Safety License.
  • Knowledge of skill development and US Rowing rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work with and develop a variety of experience and skill levels.
