About The Position

The BY YOUR SIDE Assistant Clinical Supervisor is responsible for helping the Clinical Supervisor lead the ABA Therapy Department at their assigned center. The Assistant Clinical Supervisor is responsible to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The assistant clinical supervisor should have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, have the ability to read, analyze and respond to inquiries or complaints from staff and clients and effectively present information to top management. This is a full-time position and hours of work and days vary based on the needs of clients/business. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, as needed.

Requirements

  • Provide assigned targeted caseload hours per week of direct therapy, treatment planning, consultations, and coaching per week, while maintaining timely professional documentation of clinical notes for direct patient care provided.
  • Ensure completion and quality of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports and progress reports.
  • Assist Clinical Supervisor with supervision of center ABA Therapy Team in collaboration with Center Director.
  • Ability to lead a team and supervise therapists.
  • Familiarity with relevant diagnostic tools and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively, professionally, and effectively engage with clients, families, and team members (e.g.,RBTs, BCBAs, Speech and Occupational Therapists, Operations Team).
  • Capable of responding quickly, calmly, and safely with mental acuity to challenging behaviors and emergency situations or other stressful situations in alignment with safety protocols.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Receptive to feedback with strong coachability and learning agility.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in communication, timeliness, and preparation.
  • Able to interpret and respond to technical instructions and inquiries/complaints, and effectively present information to BCBAs and families.
  • Must meet attendance standards and be available to perform all essential functions during scheduled work hours.
  • Knowledge of sensory and behavioral strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with changing priorities and deadlines, from remote location(s).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies and procedures.
  • Master’s Degree required in relevant field from an accredited University.
  • National Certification by Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Active State Licensure (as applicable).
  • Must be a BACB Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, with a minimum of two (2) year experience as a BCBA (preferred).
  • Completion of eight (8) hour online, competency-based training module on BACB experience standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified preferred or will train on site.
  • Safety Care/QBS trained preferred or will train on site.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Clinical Supervisor with enforcing standards for ABA Therapy to maintain BY YOUR SIDE’s high quality of care for clients and families.
  • Assist the Clinical Supervisor with monitoring and supervising clinical procedures to ensure advancement of skills within the BCBA and BT/RBT team.
  • Assist the Clinical Supervisor with educating ABA staff to practice effective, professional, and ethical behavioral analysis in adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Responsible for confirming completed soap notes and accurate scheduling records.
  • Will assist in quarterly auditing of documentation of BCBAs and R/BTs.
  • Will act as clinical liaison by participating in staff, family, and/or management meetings as needed.
  • Assist Clinical Supervisor with facilitating BCBA, R/BT, and/or team meetings as needed to: Review caseloads and client progress Support staff professional development through the creation and distribution of learning materials. Provide mentorship, guidance, and/or feedback to staff.
  • Ensure BYS has fully staffed team of BCBAs necessary to supervise therapy: Assist Center Director and Clinical Supervisor with completing R/BT interactive interviews as needed. Assist Clinical Supervisor with overseeing the onboarding and orientation of new BCBAs.
  • Assist BYSU Team with RBT training including RBT log audits, completion of transition and final logs, RBT level-up competency assessments and coordinating pairings between RBTs and BCBAs.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, process potential client interested in receiving therapy services and report recommended therapy hours to Center Director in a timely fashion.
  • Work in conjunction with Behavior Technician, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Operations team to ensure collaboration between disciplines.
