The nursing program at Iowa State University is hiring a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor to develop and teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses for the Masters of Nursing. This is a 9-month, 40% effort, position with a three-year term (renewable). The faculty member will be responsible, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Education and nursing faculty, to develop course content, including modules, readings, multimedia resources, assessments, and discussion prompts. In alignment with the overall curriculum, all content will integrate Open Educational Resources (OER), ensure content relevancy, and promote student-centered learning that adapts to a wide range of student needs and experiences. The faculty member will be the instructor of record for courses offered the fully online for MSN courses in the fall and spring semesters. It is expected that the faculty member will participate in course review and revision based on feedback and evaluation metrics, meet project deadlines, and maintain regular communication with the course development team. The expected teaching assignments will include the following courses, and qualified applicants must have subject matter expertise in each of these areas: 1) Translational Nursing Research – graduate level; 2) Professional Role Development and Leadership in Advanced Practice Nursing – graduate level; 3) Healthcare Informatics and Communication – graduate level.
