About The Position

Opal Autism Centers is seeking an Assistant Clinical Director - BCBA to join their team. This role focuses on ethical care, sustainable clinical practices, mentorship, operational support, and leadership development. The Assistant Clinical Director will support the Clinical Director in overseeing clinical operations, maintaining treatment quality, mentoring clinical teams, and ensuring alignment with clinical, ethical, and payer expectations. This position is ideal for an experienced BCBA passionate about leadership, mentorship, quality improvement, and shaping a positive clinical culture. The organization is an independently owned, center-based ABA organization committed to creating an environment where clinical leaders feel empowered.

Requirements

  • Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in the field of ABA as a BCBA, preferably 2 years & in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working with children with autism and/or early intervention populations.
  • Previous experience supervising clinical staff and/or mentoring RBTs.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership or mid-level management experience within an ABA setting.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation platforms.
  • LBA licensure (if applicable by state).

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Clinical Director in overseeing clinical operations.
  • Maintains treatment quality.
  • Mentors clinical teams, including BCBAs and RBTs.
  • Helps ensure alignment with clinical, ethical, and payer expectations.
  • Helps create stable, high-quality treatment environments for children and families.
  • Supports clinical quality assurance and documentation oversight.
  • Provides mentorship and leadership development opportunities.
