About The Position
Not your typical childcare center! We offer a range of support, including a behavioral health therapist, physical and occupational therapy, and learning models to help children succeed in school. Children & Families of Iowa partners with colleges specializing in education and early childhood, offering flexible hours so you can earn income while attending classes.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Childcare experience.
- Ability to obtain a CDA.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or in progress is preferred.
- For Early Head Start (6 weeks-36 months), a CDA with Infant/Toddler coursework is required, or a commitment to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Help plan and implement fun, engaging programs for kids, including those with special needs or who've experienced trauma.
- Build meaningful relationships with children to track progress, identify challenges, and find solutions.
- Create and execute age-appropriate lesson plans with field trips, observations, and lots of creativity.
- Support children's personal, social-emotional, and physical needs while using child management techniques to ensure safety and well-being.
