About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to direct nursing service activities at the assigned hospital and help ensure the safety of its nursing units. The role supports appropriate nursing care through staffing recommendations and systems for determining and providing adequate staff, while serving as a liaison between staff and administration. It also promotes staff productivity and develops and implements nursing policies and procedures in accordance with PAM Health system policies, procedures, and accreditation standards. The position is based at Sarasota Specialty and is a full-time day-shift role. Requirements
- Current RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital is located.
- At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of nursing management experience preferred.
- Certification in a specified field preferred, such as CNE, CRRN, CCRN, or PCCN.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the nursing unit(s) and hospital.
- Direct nursing service activities for the assigned hospital.
- Make recommendations regarding staff-to-patient ratios.
- Maintain a system to determine and provide adequate staffing for appropriate nursing care.
- Serve as a liaison between staff and administration.
- Promote staff productivity.
- Develop and implement nursing service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
