About The Position

This position performs the duties and responsibilities of FAA Assistant Chief Flight Instructor as required by FAA Regulations Part 141; assists Chief Flight Instructor in administration of Flight Education; supervises Flight Instructors; develops and monitors flight safety programs; provides flight and classroom instruction; conducts stage checks, progress checks and final flight tests; provides Flight Instructor initial and annual standardization of oral and practical checks; assures instruction quality and student progress/completion, including exams and check-rides; provides flight and classroom instruction; coordinates and schedules personnel and aircraft. This position must be on call for emergencies for all operational hours of the Flight School; will have alternating schedule with other Assistant Chief and Chief Flight Instructors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Meets qualifications for FAA Part 141 Assistant Chief Flight Instructor
  • Instructional activity within the previous 24 months
  • Experience with a flight school certified through 14 FR Part 141
  • 3 years of relevant experience required
