About The Position

The Assistant Center Manager reports to the Center Manager. In the Center Manager’s absence, the Assistant Center Manager has responsibility for the center’s operations, including production, quality compliance, finance, HR, and IT. The role supports compliance, quality, efficiency, and profitability, and helps ensure donor and employee safety and the purity and efficacy of plasma. Overnight travel may be required up to 10%. The position involves substantial time standing or walking and observing or auditing center operations, as well as possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens. Personal protective equipment is required for specific tasks in certain areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing the activities of a team or other employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in collecting and analyzing data to maintain center quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Collaborate with the Center Manager on quality compliance and meeting company, regulatory, and customer requirements to safeguard plasma purity and efficacy and the safety of donors and employees.
• Work with quality personnel and the QA team to develop corrective action plans for deficiencies identified during audits.
• Ensure the center and employees comply with OSHA regulations and training requirements, and complete OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
• Support employee recruitment, training, counseling, termination, and corrective action programs, following HR policies and treating employees fairly.
• Support the center’s marketing and advertising efforts.
• Assume responsibility for entire center operations in the Center Manager’s absence, including production, quality compliance, finance, HR, and IT.
