About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking an Assistant Caregiver for its assisted living community. The position may involve providing non-hands-on assistance to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both. The role includes transporting residents within the community and responding promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, requests from residents or visitors, and environmental hazards.

This is a full-time, hourly position scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Compensation starts at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• If not certified, be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• May provide non-hands-on assistance to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
