About The Position

This role will support the supervision and operations of the Children's Ability Center associate team in their direct care of CAC clients to ensure the safety, structure and enrichment of the children receiving services. The Assistant Ability Center Associate Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling associates shifts, provide support, training, and supervision of the direct care staff.

  • 3 years’ experience with children with developmental disabilities
  • Experience in programming and behavioral intervention with children with developmental disabilities
  • CPR, First Aid and Water Safety certification
  • Must be capable of becoming PCM Practitioner Level 2 Certified
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed
  • Available to be on-call for emergencies
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
  • Maintain Bodily Injury Liability insurance of $100,000 per claim, $300,000 per incident on their personal automobile when driving clients or their children
  • Advanced computer skills
  • High energy, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to problem solve

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing proper coverage and recruitment for afternoon enrichment programming including scheduling of staff, providing direction, feedback, and adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate weekly scheduling to ensure appropriate hour requirements are met, and tasks are clear and assigned
  • In the event of a callout or staffing shortage, provide direct care to children at the CAC
  • Ensure that children have healthy meals and snacks each day according to an approved menu
  • Coordinate with behavior team to follow client specific behavior intervention plans
  • Assist with the development and delivery of monthly training courses to all direct care staff on agency policies and procedures as well as best practices for working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Accountable for the completion of all paperwork and required agency trainings by direct care staff
  • Collaborate on annual and interim evaluations of staff and provide corrective feedback when necessary
  • Responsible for approving and managing of direct reports electronic time records weekly
  • Provide for children’s physical needs by organizing appropriate staffing with safety and daily routine needs in mind
  • Mindfully integrate the Trauma Informed Care Model and Person-Centered Approach into all procedures, practices, and daily interactions
  • Ensure that facilities are always clean and presentable
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as required
  • All other duties as requested by supervisor
