About The Position

The Assistant Biomed Equipment Tech assists technicians with operational and safety testing, maintenance, and repairs of general patient care equipment. The role conducts equipment inventories on hospital units and maintains reports on upcoming safety checks and repair schedules for technicians. It also supports equipment recordkeeping, inventory and control systems, and maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical equipment. The position is onsite at 100 Blossom Street.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Intermediate problem-solving skills.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong work ethic and focus on quality work.
Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes.
Ability to apply knowledge of maintenance and repair of hospital equipment.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology preferred.
Related experience of 0–1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment records and accurate inventory.
Coordinate and complete scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance of the physical plant by company-approved vendors.
Document work performed, inventories, and equipment histories.
Update inventory and control systems for all equipment supported by the department.
Assist BMET technicians with maintenance and repair of clinical and other electromechanical equipment.
Conduct inventories of equipment on units and keep reports on upcoming safety checks and repair schedules for technicians.
