About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure the execution of athletic programs for youth and adults and a variety of seasonal programs. This role involves managing the overall execution of youth and adult athletic programs, including planning, implementation, and supervision of leagues. The Assistant Athletics Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality communication and customer service for volunteer coaches and participants, communicating information to coworkers for a unified department operation, and executing the scheduling and usage of County resources (fields, parks, and centers) for programs and public rentals. Additionally, this position provides support to the administrative team during peak times by giving tours, answering questions, and covering the reception desk as needed.

Requirements

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in business, liberal arts, or any field other than engineering or the hard sciences.
• Over two years and up to and including four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
