About The Position

The Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service serves as the most senior dedicated ticket sales leader and provides oversight for all ticket sales, service and operations for Seattle University Athletics. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building the fan base and developing data-informed sales campaigns across all ticketed sports. This position oversees ticket office operations and staff, including direct supervision of the Manager of Ticket Services and Operations, and serves as the primary architect of sales planning, pricing, retention and customer acquisition initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in ticket sales, service or operations, preferably in collegiate or professional sports.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Archtics/TM1 preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation and achieving sales goals.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into strategy.
  • Commitment to customer service excellence and relationship building.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and select travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive ticket sales strategies, including season tickets, partial plans, group sales.
  • Work with marketing to develop single game promotions and execute single game campaigns.
  • Establish and achieve annual revenue goals, including personal and team sales targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform pricing, packaging and promotional strategies.
  • Oversee outbound, inbound and renewal sales efforts, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and conversion.
  • Design and implement retention strategies, with emphasis on new buyers and at-risk accounts.
  • Manage a portfolio of key season ticket holders and prospects and group ticket holders and prospects.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to ticket sales and operations staff, including the Manager of Ticket Services and Operations.
  • Establish performance expectations, track productivity and support professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
  • Oversee all ticket operations, including box office functions, inventory management and system administration (Archtics/TM1).
  • Ensure efficient and accurate execution of ticketing processes, including event builds, reporting and reconciliation.
  • Serve as the primary ticketing liaison for external partners, including TicketMaster, Climate Pledge Arena, conference (WCC) and NCAA events.
  • Provide strategic oversight of gameday operations, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and game day troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with Vice President of Athletics and Development staff to ensure effective and timely coordination on special guests.
  • Partner with marketing and communications to develop integrated campaigns that drive ticket sales and attendance.
  • Lead the planning ticket-related promotions, campaigns and special initiatives, and work with marketing to execute and track.
  • Serve as a member of the Athletics external operations team.
  • Oversee regular reporting on sales performance, attendance and revenue.
  • Utilize data and CRM tools to evaluate effectiveness and optimize strategy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting; work with Finance to conduct year-end audits to ensure adequate reconciliation between ticket sales reports and monies received.
  • Ensure all activities align with Seattle University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
