About The Position
The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. This role is primarily teaching-focused, with an expectation of teaching four sections per semester during the fall and spring, and optional summer courses. Moderate service duties are also expected. While there are no research expectations, opportunities for research may be available. Non-tenure track faculty are eligible for promotion based on performance and tenure. The courses taught will primarily be at the undergraduate level in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Sciences, with efforts made to align teaching assignments with faculty expertise and interests.
Requirements
- Earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong desire to focus on innovative and high-quality instruction.
- Ability to work in a collegial and collaborative environment.
- Prior teaching experience (encouraged).
- Prior industrial experience (encouraged).

Responsibilities
