About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, is seeking applicants for an open-rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position. The department is interested in candidates across all research areas within mechanical engineering, with a particular focus on robotics, autonomous systems, hybrid and electric powertrains, and advanced air mobility. Successful candidates will be expected to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, and to establish and maintain an externally funded research program. Experience in publication, graduate student advising, and securing external funding is desired. Industry experience is also encouraged.

Requirements

  • Earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in publication.
  • Demonstrated experience in graduate student advising.
  • Demonstrated experience in securing external funding.
