The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Biological Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, secure extramural funding, and serve the Department, College, and University. The candidate should aspire to lead a research program that fuses molecular/cellular bioscience and molecular modeling with quantitative engineering analysis/synthesis approaches, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Areas of high priority include cutting-edge, multiscale, data-driven approaches in non-medical molecular biotechnology, AI-enabled digital representations of biological systems, microbiome engineering, and food safety. Collaboration with AgriLife Extension Faculty, participation in professional development activities, and an appropriate level of service are expected.
