The Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) at the University of Florida, in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This role will focus on developing a collaborative, externally funded, and internationally engaged research program centered on maternal and child nutrition, with a specific emphasis on improving health and developmental outcomes for women, infants, and young children in global and underserved settings. This is a 9-month, tenure-accruing position with a 70% research and 30% teaching assignment, based in Gainesville, FL. The faculty member will be expected to actively seek contract and grant funding to support their program. The position is part of a new initiative to seed a nexus in global health nutrition and food security between IFAS and the One Health Center of Excellence within the College of Public Health and Health Professions. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty across the department and university, contributing to existing expertise in maternal and child nutrition, community and public health nutrition, nutritional sciences, food systems, food safety, food processing, and global nutrition.
