About The Position

Oversees and directs one or more aspects of the Operations Department. Job Duties include processing and evaluating superintendent reports for the Plant Manager, serving as fire chief and/or On Scene incident commander, evaluating and resolving process unit problems, monitoring all process data, lab data and operations programs (Safety, PSM, etc.). May develop a plan of operations and implement all requirements to meet the plan, and resolves all operations personnel issues. Special assignments or tasks may be assigned by their manager.

Requirements

A minimum of eight years of on-the-job experience is required.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, is required.
Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates.
Proficient with spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications.
Strong planning, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
General understanding of corporate governance practices.
Handling regulatory compliance including State, Federal and various other government authorities.
Proven leadership skills including mentoring, decision making, delegation and motivating others.
Ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is required.

Nice To Haves

A significant amount of experience in the energy industry is preferred.
Certifications in various types of emergency response.
