The Assistant Area Coordinator works directly with the professional Residence Life Staff, Resident Assistants, and on campus students and will provide support to the Area Coordinator in a particular residential area on campus. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of a specific residence hall or residence halls, supervising and evaluating Resident Assistants, and assisting with the development and implementation of programming for Residence Life. The position also includes budget management, participation in an on-call rotation for crisis response, assisting with RA training and selection, serving as a student conduct hearing officer, providing office support, and liaising with campus partners. The role requires attendance at weekly professional and student staff meetings and assumes additional responsibilities as required.
