The Assistant Allied Health Director is responsible to provide and oversee the provision and supervision of professional care services of Allied Health Providers in a Patient Centered Health Home context, with a focus on access to care. This role provides management to departmental staff, including performance management, hiring/firing recommendations, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. The Assistant Allied Health Director will develop and manage action plans, empower staff, and delegate duties while ensuring department performance. They will also assist with budget development and monitoring, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the training and development of department employees. Additionally, the role involves the direct provision and supervision of professional care services of Allied Health providers, implementation of clinical protocols, and addressing provider needs. The position also contributes to program design and execution, provides direct primary care medical services, and advocates for access to healthcare within the Patient Centered Health Home model. Excellent customer service and patient education are key components of this role, along with participation in performance improvement efforts and community events.
