Requirements

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care, workplace safety and confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow clinical direction and assist with a range of therapy and support activities.
  • AHA2: Hold or be working towards Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent.
  • AHA3: Hold Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Immunisation compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of allied health services under the supervision of allied health professionals.
  • Assist with patient care activities, therapy preparation, patient transport, group programs and administrative tasks while contributing to safe, high-quality care.
  • Depending on classification level, may also assist with specialised screenings, patient education, supervision of junior AHA staff and support for students.
