About The Position

Spectrum Montessori-Woodbury is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to work with toddlers, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The teacher assists with implementing age-appropriate curriculum, preparing and organizing learning materials, and supervising children during activities, meals, and naptime to maintain a safe, positive learning environment. The role includes helping lead learning activities, monitoring children’s progress and development, and fostering a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school offers a supportive environment and resources for educators, along with education incentives and career development programs. Spectrum Montessori-Woodbury is part of Endeavor Schools, which operates more than 100 schools in 14 states and offers different educational styles and methods.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center.
Prior experience with toddler and preschool students.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and tablet.
12 Child Development Units, required by the State of California.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.
