We are seeking an Assistant Account Executive as an entry-level role focused on supporting high-impact client campaigns with media relations, content development, thought leadership and digital strategy. You’ll collaborate with a seasoned team of specialized communicators to help clients—ranging from cleantech startups to renewable energy leaders—amplify their message, land earned media coverage and build thought leadership in the industry. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the clean energy landscape, have a knack for building relationships, and a demonstrated capability to foster teamwork and deliver high-impact PR results. This position is full time hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week in person in either Salt Lake City, Utah or Austin, Texas.

Requirements

  • Public Relations/communications including school or internship experience
  • Bachelor’s degree. Degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or related field preferred
  • Basic understanding of client/industry news cycles, issues and trends
  • Excellent people skills! Must be a team player who communicates well with team members at all levels, jumps in and gives it your all to do great work
  • Excellent time management skills and proven success at juggling conflicting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and create necessary foundational materials for client campaigns and projects (media lists, trackers, briefing sheets)
  • Research, outline, write first draft of materials including press releases, pitch letters, report and article summaries, reports, briefing sheets
  • Schedules client-related team meetings and conference calls and/or events as needed
  • Take responsibility for junior level client relationships
  • Understand larger client timelines and priorities
  • Supports the overall organization and success of the account
  • Research, draft, edit and proofread press releases, and corporate communications materials
  • Nurture solid relationships with media and industry analysts
