About The Position

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to provide temporary Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) coverage supporting military-connected children and youth at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. This is an on-call, as-needed opportunity, not a regularly scheduled full-time assignment. Coverage may be offered for absences, vacancies, surge requirements, and other approved program needs; assignment duration and timing may vary. Availability is confirmed before each offered assignment, and placement in the ARC pool does not guarantee assignments, minimum hours, or a regular schedule. Candidates must complete required credentialing, screening, background investigation, federal and installation suitability and access processes, and assignment-specific prerequisites before providing services or being considered assignment-ready. The counselor provides brief, solution-focused, non-medical counseling and consultation within the MFLC program scope, along with developmentally appropriate resilience and life-skills activities, educational briefings, outreach, and presentations. The role requires coordination with installation contacts and other authorized stakeholders, and adherence to confidentiality, professional boundaries, documentation, installation procedures, schedules, and applicable program policies. Blue Rose Consulting Group is a mission-driven federal contractor focused on delivering solutions that support clients and communities. The company describes its approach as “People First. Mission Always” and emphasizes collaborative teams and meaningful work.
