About The Position

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to provide temporary Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) coverage for service members and adult military family members at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. This is an on-call, as-needed opportunity rather than a regularly scheduled full-time assignment. Coverage may be offered for absences, vacancies, surge requirements, and other approved program needs, and assignments may range from short coverage periods to longer temporary needs. Availability will be confirmed before each assignment. Placement in the ARC pool does not guarantee assignments, minimum hours, or a regular schedule. Counselors may perform services only after completing required credentialing, screening, background investigation, federal and installation suitability and access processes, and any assignment-specific prerequisites. Coverage is subject to installation operating schedules and authorized program requirements. The ARC provides brief, solution-focused, non-medical counseling and consultation within the MFLC program scope. Support topics include deployment and reintegration, relationships, parenting, stress, grief, and military-life transitions. Counselors may provide individual, couple, and family consultations, approved educational briefings, outreach, and resilience-building presentations. Concerns requiring clinical treatment or specialized services must be referred through approved channels. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries, keeping required program documentation, and following applicable Department of Defense, contract, installation, and program requirements. Blue Rose Consulting Group is a mission-driven federal contractor focused on supporting clients and the communities they serve. The company describes its approach as “People First. Mission Always.” and emphasizes collaborative teams and meaningful work.
