Blue Rose Consulting Group•Scott AFB, IL
•Onsite

About The Position

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to provide temporary Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) coverage for military-connected students in school settings at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. This is an on-call, as-needed opportunity rather than a regularly scheduled full-time assignment. Coverage may be offered for absences, vacancies, surge requirements, and other approved program needs. Assignment duration and timing may vary, and availability will be confirmed before each assignment. Placement in the ARC pool does not guarantee assignments, minimum hours, or a regular schedule. Selected candidates must complete required credentialing, screening, background investigation, training, and federal or installation suitability and access processes before becoming assignment-ready. Services may begin only after required approvals and assignment-specific prerequisites are satisfied. School-based assignments follow school calendars and authorized school-site schedules where applicable. The counselor provides short-term, solution-focused, non-medical counseling and support to military-connected students, and may collaborate with school personnel, parents or guardians, installation Points of Contact, program leadership, and other authorized stakeholders within confidentiality and program requirements. The role also includes authorized classroom presentations, group activities, outreach, educational briefings, consultation, and resilience-building presentations. The counselor must maintain professional boundaries and required documentation and follow applicable DoD, contract, installation, and program policies.
