About The Position

Asset Servicing Operations is part of the Investment Services and Operations area at SLC Management and is responsible for the operational support, administration, and reporting of a broad range of investment products across public and private markets. The Asset Servicing Specialist will support Derivatives, Mortgages, and Fixed Income Operations teams, ensuring timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, reporting, and lifecycle management of investment assets held across multiple systems, currencies, and portfolios. The role is critical in supporting day‑to‑day operational activities while contributing to process improvement and efficiency initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal business partners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technology teams to ensure strong operational controls and high‑quality service delivery for portfolios across Canadian, U.S., U.K., and third‑party mandates.

Requirements

  • Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Prior financial services, asset servicing, or operations experience is an asset
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyze data using formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset and comfort working with financial data
  • Problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess issues, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions
  • Technology‑savvy, with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional partners

Responsibilities

  • Support daily asset servicing activities for Derivatives, Mortgages, and Fixed Income portfolios, including lifecycle events, cash movements, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Collaborate with Operations SMEs to understand end‑to‑end processes and identify operational risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Analyze, interpret, and organize operational and financial data to support business activities, projects, and audits
  • Perform asset and position maintenance activities across multiple source systems (e.g., Aladdin, PAM, Enterprise!)
  • Support cash management, funding activities, income collection, and account reconciliation across multiple currencies
  • Assist with system upgrades, process enhancements, documentation updates, and control improvements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Brighter Way framework
