About The Position

The Asset Protection Specialist helps prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supports safety and environmental program compliance at an assigned store or multiple stores. The role uses company tools and processes to identify theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor physical security, audit Electronic Article Surveillance, and promote a store culture focused on eliminating shrink. The specialist prepares detailed and accurate reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserves evidence, works with law enforcement, and may testify in criminal and civil court actions. The role also requires reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carrying out work in a way that minimizes injury risks to associates, vendors, customers, the employee, and the Company. The specialist is expected to demonstrate integrity, respond to asset protection and operational concerns raised by associates, and stay focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud.
Support safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store or stores.
Identify incidents of theft and fraud.
Review CCTV and exception reports.
Monitor the store’s physical security.
Audit Electronic Article Surveillance.
Promote a store culture focused on shrink elimination.
Prepare accurate, detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
Preserve evidence.
Interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions.
Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
Carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
Respond to asset protection and operational concerns raised by associates.
Remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Demonstrate integrity at all times.
