About The Position

The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. The role uses tools and practices to minimize company loss, including identifying theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture. The specialist also prepares detailed case reports about apprehensions and recoveries, preserves evidence, interacts with law enforcement, and may testify in criminal and civil court actions. The role requires reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carrying out responsibilities in a way that minimizes injury risk to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. The specialist demonstrates integrity, responds to asset protection and operational concerns, and remains focused on store-specific business objectives.

Responsibilities

Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud.
Support safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store or stores.
Identify incidents of theft and fraud.
Review CCTV and exception reports.
Monitor the store's physical security.
Audit Electronic Article Surveillance.
Drive a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
Preserve evidence.
Interact with law enforcement and testify in criminal and civil court actions.
Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
Carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes injury risk to themselves, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
Demonstrate integrity and respond to associates' asset protection and operational concerns.
Remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.
