Asset Protection & Safety Manager

About The Position

This role is responsible for managing asset protection and safety initiatives within the store. Key duties include conducting store walk-throughs, providing training on asset protection and safety, monitoring financial and operational reports for potential losses, and leading investigations into theft and fraud. The manager will also collaborate with law enforcement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to minimize risk and support profitability.

Requirements

Experience in Asset Protection and Safety
Ability to conduct store walk-throughs and identify training opportunities, policy violations, and dishonesty
Proficiency in conducting training on asset protection and safety
Experience monitoring and investigating cash over/shorts, deposit variances, voucher losses, and fraud chargebacks
Ability to monitor camera systems and resolve outage issues
Experience supporting operational, receiving, asset protection, and safety audits
Skill in addressing risk areas and implementing safety and inventory control policies
Experience maintaining asset protection and safety awareness programs
Ability to investigate and resolve root causes for Workers Comp and General Liability claims
Experience implementing shrink and safety focus plans
Proficiency in leading internal and external theft and fraud investigations using Exception Based Reporting, video review, associate interviews, inventory analytics, and employee relations information
Experience building partnerships with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community leaders
Ability to review P&L, Power BI, and SAP reports to identify potential losses
Experience assisting with physical inventory preparation, counting, and reconciliation
Ability to review delivery schedules and report violations
Experience maintaining functionality and controls of keys, safes, and alarm panels
Ability to respond to alarm calls

Responsibilities

Provide First Class Service to all customers, employees and business partners and assist in providing a respectful working environment for everyone
Conduct store walk throughs to increase associate awareness and partnerships, celebrate successes, and identify training opportunities, policy violations, and acts of associate dishonesty
Conduct training in all aspects of Asset Protection and Safety, including department specific onboarding for all new associates
Attend and participate in all platform leadership meetings and share shrink and safety trends, audit results, training opportunities, and platform successes
Monitor and investigate all Cash Over/Shorts, including deposit variances, voucher losses and fraud chargebacks
Monitor the functionality of all camera systems and report and resolve outage issues in a timely manner
Support weekly and monthly Operational, Receiving, Asset Protection, and Safety audits, in the platform and off-site warehouse
Address areas of risk and assist in training and implementing company approved safety and inventory control policies and processes with assistance from RAPSM and FGM
Maintain all Asset Protection and Safety Awareness programs in the location
Provide partnership, investigate, and assist in resolving the root causes for all Workers Comp and General Liability claims
Implement Shrink and Safety focus plans to minimize risk exposures and support the platform in achieving profitability goals
Lead Internal and External theft and fraud investigations utilizing (EBR) Exception Based Reporting, video review, associate interviews, inventory analytics, and employee relations information
Leverage partnerships and foster relationships with local law enforcement, prosecutors, and community leaders, to facilitate successful deterrence and prosecutions
Review the weekly/monthly P&L, Power BI, and SAP reports to determine potential areas of loss
Assist in the preparation, physical counting, and the reconciliation of our yearly retail physical inventory
Review weekly delivery schedule for offsite warehouses and report any Geo-Fence violations, driving violations, or deviation from the schedule to platform management
Maintain functionality and controls of all keys, safes, and alarm panels including removing and changing accesses as needed
Respond to all alarm calls
