About The Position

The Asset Protection Officer is responsible for protecting company assets and ensuring associate safety. The role includes maintaining facility access control, monitoring activities, responding to alarms and emergencies, completing logs and reports, and enforcing facility rules. It also involves operating power equipment, CCTV, and handheld technology. The position requires a flexible schedule, dependable attendance, and the ability to perform physically demanding work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; candidates with this qualification are encouraged to apply.
• PC proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Attention to detail when completing logs and reports.
• Ability to respond appropriately to alarms and building emergencies.
• Ability to understand and enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Ability to operate power equipment, CCTV, and handheld technology.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, safety rules, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including heavy lifting, constant movement, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

• Priority security experience in a distribution center environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete inbound and outbound trailer logs, common carrier logs, and discrepancy reports.
• Maintain access control for all individuals entering and exiting the facility.
• Respond to alarm systems and building emergencies.
• Conduct audits on common carriers.
• Monitor associate, visitor, and trucker activities.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations.
• Operate power equipment and CCTV.
• Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
