About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility and its surrounding areas. The associate will conduct safety sweeps, follow proper procedures for handling materials and equipment, and respond to unsafe situations. They will also observe and communicate suspicious activity, assist with investigations, and maintain necessary documentation. A key aspect of this role is embracing diversity and fostering a culture of belonging, working collaboratively with team members, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics. The associate will be expected to put the customer first, make decisions based on reliable information, and strive for continuous improvement by learning new technologies and skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards procedures and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.
• Secures and safeguards the Facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity, assisting with investigations, maintaining paperwork logs and other required documentation, and appropriately executing emergency response procedures.
