About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility and surrounding areas. This includes adhering to all safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, observing and reporting suspicious activity, assisting with investigations, and executing emergency response procedures. The role also emphasizes respecting individuals by embracing differences, creating an inclusive workplace, and fostering a culture of belonging. Teamwork, strong relationships, and positive communication are key. Associates are encouraged to help, develop, and mentor others, recognizing contributions and accomplishments. Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards procedures and guidelines
• Conducting safety sweeps
• Following proper forklift spotting procedures
• Following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
• Following Company steel standard guidelines
• Correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management
• Secures and safeguards the Facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity
• Assisting with investigations
• Maintaining paperwork logs and other required documentation
• Appropriately executing emergency response procedures
• Embraces differences in people cultures ideas and experiences
