The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for observing activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious behavior, collecting investigative evidence using CCTV and floor observations, and following company directives and policies when making apprehensions. This role also involves executing investigation routines to identify and resolve theft, conducting external interviews with suspected individuals, reporting suspected fraud and policy infractions, and managing records for apprehensions, witness statements, evidence, and recovered merchandise. The associate will also assist with internal investigations, monitor associate activity as directed, proactively identify potential theft and fraud, investigate suspicious behavior, attend court hearings, maintain relationships with law enforcement, travel to stores as needed, and analyze intelligence on theft perpetrators. Additionally, the role supports a safety culture by communicating shrinkage and safety topics, identifying and correcting hazards, providing emergency response, assisting with incident investigations and reports, conducting audits, and coaching associates on safety practices. The associate will also support stores during critical incidents, business disruptions, and natural disasters.
