In this essential role, you will provide detailed data and analysis that is utilized for maintenance projects across the County. You will be in the field inspecting and making maintenance determinations on river levees & revetments, stormwater facilities, sidewalks, and more. This data will be tracked and determined on GIS software such as Field Maps, Survey 123, and Workforce. The updating of data and inventory will support programs such as the annual NPDES inspection and others that keep Pierce County’s maintenance programs on track. PPW’s team has more than 800 members that collaborate, innovate and inspire in performing essential services to the community. The department is responsible for the County road and levee systems, sewer systems, airports, ferries, building permits, environmental review, sustainability, community planning, and code enforcement. Your success will come from providing excellent customer service to the public as the position requires interaction with landowners to explain and allow access to private lands, easements, stormwater locations, and more.
