About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets. This role involves ensuring timely hardware refreshes, maintaining accurate records in the client's CMDB, and managing inventory of various IT equipment. The specialist will coordinate with vendors and internal teams for procurement and warranty support, and facilitate the secure and compliant disposal of assets, including data sanitization and environmental compliance. The position requires following best practices for asset lifecycle management.

Requirements

0 years with BS/BA; 4 years with HS Diploma
Familiarity with CMDB tools and ITIL practices.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Knowledge of hardware lifecycle and vendor support policies.
Ability to work collaboratively with IT and procurement teams.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Responsibilities

Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
Ensure timely refresh of hardware as it approaches end-of-support or end-of-life.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets in the client’s CMDB.
Ensure asset data integrity and compliance with organizational policies.
Manage inventory of PCs, peripherals, printers, network switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and video conferencing equipment.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for procurement and warranty support.
Facilitate secure and compliant disposal of physical assets that are no longer in use or required.
Ensure proper data sanitization and environmental compliance during disposal.
Follow best practices for asset lifecycle management.
