As an Assembly Technician with John Deere in Kernersville, NC, you will perform assembly related operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: Assemble parts or components to specification. Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures. Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance. Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections. Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment. Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to hand and power tools, testing and runoff equipment, ladders, hoists, overhead cranes, fixtures, jigs, and gages. Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling. Assist and support other team members. Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job. These positions are for third shift (10:30 pm to 7:00 am).
