About The Position

The Assembly Technician works in the Assembly department, performing tasks such as installing netting, covers, and labels; boxing products; building tubs and beds; and managing products. The role involves working safely, maintaining quality and efficient operation, and supporting production needs across different stations. The technician operates automated assembly equipment using HMI controls and may manually operate or troubleshoot equipment. The position also includes inspecting products, maintaining the assigned work area, using inventory management scanners, and participating in inventory activities.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and participate as a team member in achieving the organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
• Represent the company’s mission, vision, and values, and promote a positive environment.
• Maintain high-quality and efficient operation of products and equipment.
• Wrap mattresses with protective covering and sew the covering ends.
• Insert wrapped mattresses into consumer-ready textiles.
• Seal covered mattresses, labels, and applicable documentation in plastic packaging.
• Box and strap finished mattresses for shipping.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Operate automated assembly equipment using HMI controls and manually operate or troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
• Maintain and clean the assigned work area.
• Assist with other tasks associated with Assembly.
• Perform quality inspections throughout the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Use inventory management scanners after training.
• Participate in inventory.
