About The Position

The Assembly Technician works in the Assembly department, performing tasks that may include installing netting, covers, and labels; boxing; tub building; bed assembly; and product management. The role supports safe, high-quality, efficient production while helping maintain a safe work environment for themselves and other technicians. The technician may work at different stations as production needs require and assist with other Assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

Follow safety guidelines and participate as a team member in achieving the organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
Represent the company’s mission, vision, and values and promote a positive environment.
Maintain high-quality, efficient operation of products and equipment.
Wrap mattresses with protective covering and sew the ends of the covering.
Insert wrapped mattresses into consumer-ready textile coverings.
Seal covered mattresses, labels, and applicable documentation into plastic packaging.
Box and strap finished mattresses for shipping.
Work at different stations as production needs require.
Operate automated assembly equipment using HMI controls, and perform manual equipment operation or troubleshooting as necessary.
Maintain and clean the assigned work area.
Assist with other tasks associated with Assembly.
Perform quality inspections at every step of the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Train to use inventory management scanners.
Participate in inventory.
