About The Position

The Assembly Operator performs assembly duties for hose couplings and accessories in a manufacturing environment. The role involves receiving and verifying process travelers and components, assembling products, maintaining inventory and production records, and preparing completed jobs and shipments. The position is full-time in Dothan, Alabama, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Extended hours and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED, three to six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive process travelers, verify that the components are correct, and close out the travelers.
• Assemble couplings, clamps, and other products.
• Maintain inventory control during the assembly process.
• Maintain inventory and a clean work environment, and assist with packaging materials for shipment.
• Pick and put away materials in designated inventory locations.
• Follow assembly and process documents.
• Take jobs from the Job Traveler through completion and readiness for shipment, and turn in the Job Traveler.
• Determine packaging or crating weights and dimensions for shipments.
• Record day-to-day production outputs accurately in the ERP system.
• Maintain paperwork used to control production, inventory movement, and quality counts.
• Comply with company health and safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation.
