Assembly Senior Manufacturing Support - 3rd Shift
About The Position
As Assembly Support at Caterpillar Inc., you will directly support Section Managers and Assembly on the plant floor through 5S activities, area layout, the MRDR process, Continuous Improvement, CAV audits, and other assembly activities as needed. This role uses Caterpillar Production System principles to support efficient, standardized work and relies on independent decision-making, problem solving, prioritization, multitasking, and cross-functional communication. You will provide summaries to leadership and contribute as a team member. The position is on third shift, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Starting pay is $27.20 per hour, plus an 8% shift premium; the stated summary pay range is $27.20–$33.95. Overtime may be required based on business needs. Caterpillar offers paid training and benefits beginning on Day One, subject to eligibility.
Requirements

- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced computer and Caterpillar systems knowledge.
- Previous experience with 5S.
- Previous leadership experience.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Previous quality experience.
- Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and aerial lifts as required.
Responsibilities
- Support Section Managers and Assembly on the plant floor.

- Support Continuous Improvement, CAV audits, and other assembly needs.
- Follow and use Caterpillar Production System principles, including 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, waste elimination, and Standard Work.
